We have joined forces with companies from the aerospace sector in Gipuzkoa and the Basque Country to participate in the <b>HI-Prest project<\/b>, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.group.sener\/es\/notas-prensa\/arranca-el-proyecto-hi-prest-para-desarrollar-en-el-pais-vasco-un-escaner-de-alta-precision-para-telescopios-espaciales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Sener<\/a>. We will join forces in order to bet on a local network of suppliers and compete for large international projects, and we will work to give added impetus to the project.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-118778 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fagorautomation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/oti-argazkia-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"Dise\u00f1o y fabricaci\u00f3n de un &#039;encoder&#039; de alta precisi\u00f3n para aplicaciones en el espacio\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><b>Open to diversification<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.diariovasco.com\/economia\/sener-crea-consorcio-20210124171252-nt.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">According <\/a>to<b> Jos\u00e9 Emilio Oti<\/b>, Director of Research and Development, &#8220;the cooperative has traditionally focused on the <b>machine tool sector<\/b>, although it has always been open to <b>diversification<\/b>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Emilio Oti underlines that, due to the demanding requirements demanded by aerospace projects, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fagorautomation.com\/en-us\/hi-prest-project-to-develop-a-highly-accurate-scanner-for-space-telescopes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HI-Prest project<\/a> &#8220;will involve research into new technologies, the acquisition of knowledge and the improvement of production processes within Fagor Automation&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In turn, Jos\u00e9 Emilio Oti indicates that it will be an opportunity to improve the products for the sectors in which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fagorautomation.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fagor Automation<\/a> is already present, and thus be able to increase the technological differential with respect to other companies.<\/p>\n<p><b>Increasing the technological differential<\/b><\/p>\n<p>According to the Research and Development Director of the cooperative, &#8220;Gipuzkoa already has a powerful network of suppliers for the aerospace activity&#8221; and affirms that there is a great potential for growth: &#8220;That is why we believe it is interesting to enter this market&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of the HI-PREST project is to achieve a <b>high-precision scanner demonstrator <\/b>from a consortium of companies in the Basque Country, resulting in a competitive and innovative product capable of being offered in space programs of the European Space Agency (ESA) or the American space agency (NASA).
