Thanks to this collaboration agreement, <\/strong><\/em>MONDRAGON University – Mexico<\/em><\/strong><\/a> and <\/em><\/strong>Fagor Automation<\/em><\/strong><\/a> will promote specific training in the field of numeric control starting the next academic year.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

MONDRAGON Educaci\u00f3n Internacional (MEi) was created in 2010, as the product of the alliance between Mondragon Unibertsitatea<\/a> and Alecop S. Coop<\/a>. Its mission within the MONDRAGON Corporation<\/a> is clear: to promote and manage higher education centers<\/strong>,<\/strong> based on the knowledge accumulated<\/strong> <\/strong>by all the Corporation\u2019s training and educational institutions.<\/p>\n

Since 2011 in Mexico<\/em><\/strong><\/h6>\n

\"\"<\/a>In 2011, the MONDRAGON Corporation acquired UCO University in Queretaro, integrating it into the MONDRAGON Educaci\u00f3n Internacional (MEI) network, which also has professional schools in Colombia and Saudi Arabia. MEi has 70 years of experience in educational services focused on people, the community and solidarity.<\/p>\n

Currently, MONDRAGON University – Mexico<\/strong> offers 15 professional degrees and 8 Master\u2019s programs and is located within one of the best private universities in the country<\/strong>, backed by the Federation of Mexican Private Higher Education Institutions (FIMPES), which includes only 2.5% of the for-profit professional schools in the country.<\/p>\n

Marijo Pagaldai, president of MEi, was present last March at the signing of the agreement between Fagor Automation and MONDRAGON University – Mexico. \u201cAs part of the MONDRAGON Educaci\u00f3n Internacional project, we want to transfer the model we use in Euskadi to Mexico, closely linked to industry and cooperatives in the area. In this way, MONDRAGON University – Mexico works to serve the community of cooperatives located in Queretaro, most of which belong to the MONDRAGON Corporation.\u201d<\/em> Thanks to the collaboration agreement, \u201cFagor Automation and MONDRAGON University – Mexico will offer specific courses in the classroom or laboratory known as Fagor Automation, where the participants can learn how to use Fagor\u2019s CNCs.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The University is located in the same area as most of MONDRAGON\u2019s cooperatives in Queretaro, and so the agreement will promote even closer relations between companies and the university, and cooperation <\/strong>among all of them.<\/p>\n

Fagor Automation classroom or laboratory<\/em><\/strong><\/h6>\n

\"\"<\/a>Representatives of the Mexican government also participated in the inauguration of this space, in addition to Fagor Automation and the university itself. Rafa Aranzabal, Sales Manager for Fagor Automation, stressed the value of the collaboration agreement and cooperation among the different training centers and cooperatives. \u201cThis classroom is set up with next generation numeric control machinery and also favors close connections with the rest of the companies in the area. This way, students will work with the help of professionals and will learn to use our controls.\u201d<\/p>\n

The classroom will offer visits for customers of Fagor Automation Mexico, and in addition to student internships, it will also offer training services<\/strong> for students, companies and others interested in the most advanced numeric control systems, Aranzabal indicated.<\/p>\n

UMx Dean Arturo Alvarado Hierro stated that the inauguration of these spaces complements the top-level academic training of its students. \u201cIt is an example of one of the most important values at UMx, collaboration, in which companies decide to make an investment in order to generate alternatives for the young people of Queretaro and professionals in training,\u201d the Dean stressed.<\/p>\n

Strategic alliance<\/em><\/strong><\/h6>\n

This strategic alliance <\/strong>between MONDRAGON University – Mexico, the company Fagor Automation Mexico and the savings and loan Caja Inmaculada, Sociedad Cooperativa de Ahorro y Pr\u00e9stamo will benefit students majoring in Financial Administration and Finance, and in the case of the Fagor Classroom, those studying Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering<\/strong>, the dean explained.<\/p>\n

Besides Fagor Automation\u2019s CEO for America, Rafael Aranzabal, also present at the inauguration were the managing director of Caja Inmaculada, Enrique Alva Cardoso; President of Administration of Caja Inmaculada, Lilia Alamilla Aguilera; Board President of Mondragon University – Mexico, Jos\u00e9 Madariaga; representative of the MONDRAGON Corporation in Mexico, Teresa Fern\u00e1ndez Fern\u00e1ndez; representative of the Basque government in Mexico, Ibon Mendibelzua and president of MONDRAGON Educaci\u00f3n Internacional, Marijo Pagaldai.<\/p>\n
