Description and objectives:

In recent years there has been a considerable increase in technologies aimed at interconnecting the manufacturing processes through sensors, data capturers, monitoring, etc., which ultimately turn machines into intelligent devices, capable generating, transmitting and processing a huge volume of information in real time.

The CONECTA project is focuses on one of the most important premises for the control and regulation systems of industrial machines that will characterize the industry of our near future: connectivity, as the global key to real-time intelligence.

The main objective of the project is the development of a new CNC model characterized by its high degree of connectivity, by adding additional interfaces based on Ethernet Industrial with Ether CAT protocol, to its existing fieldbuses. The new Ether CAT buses will be used both for connection of digital and analogy I/Os and different types of sensors, as well as for the integration of third-party digital controllers.
