Rey Juan Carlos University will use a five-axis machine in its research projects. The fourth largest Spanish university has recently acquired one of the most advanced models of the Bulgarian company RAIS , a machine including Fagor Automation technology.
This 5-axis machine will be used at the University to carry on new research projects. Founded in 1996, Rey Juan Carlos University provides quality training through a wide and excellent academic offer, also contributing to the forefront of knowledge thanks to its scientific research projects of international projection.
CNC 8065 of Fagor Automation
The RAIS М450 vertical machining center is specially designed to minimize thermal deformation, drastically reduce vibrations in machining and achieve high geometric accuracy.
To get the best possible performance out of the machine, RAIS, (a leading Balkan manufacturer of machine tools and CNC equipment for various industry sectors), has included in this machine a rotary indexing table and a bi-rotary table, all managed with a Fagor Automation CNC 8065.
The collaboration between RAIS and Fagor Automation technologies will allow the university researchers to perform turning and 5-axis work with the same machine. They will be able to convert the machine into a mill-turn machine or a 5-axis machine by entering a few simple commands.
This project is yet another example of Fagor Automation’s presence in national training centers, and has become a new success for both companies in their commitment to the future of the industry, making an extraordinary effort to provide our educational centers with the most advanced machines and technologies.
