Description and objectives:
FAGOR AUTOMATION aims to bring to the market a new product where the safety functions and communications are integrated in the embedded software of the CNC drive itself. This will allow the controller to execute the safety functions (e.g., motor traction stop) of the CNC in the controller itself by integrating a black-channel communications that guarantees the security of the data exchanged with the rest of the elements of the system (e.g., PLC, encoders).
This project seeks to integrate complexity and security into the regulator’s cyber-physical system (CPS), increasing the range of functions supported and its flexibility when integrating it with the rest of the subsystems.
